Maryanne James lived most of her life in Hawaii. She was raised in a very open, non-judgmental atmosphere, which influenced her overall outlook on life : the best way to approach life is to keep asking questions and learning other perspectives. Maryanne believes her understanding of humanity, including its strengths and weaknesses, was strongly influenced by her experiences in a family with a long history of mental disease and alcoholism.
After spending many years in marketing & business management, Maryanne settled in the peaceful mountains, and pared her life down to doing what she enjoys best; researching, writing, editorial, and sharing the things she has learned with anyone who will listen.
