3D Printing Your Own Bong (STL File)

3D printers use public STL files for design, and these are shared freely on the Internet. Now you can print your own bong at home.

3D printers use STL files for design, and these are shared freely on the Internet. Now you can print your own bong at home.

You can now make your own marijuana bong at home, on your 3D printer. A plastic bong? Wouldn’t that melt?

It works, according to “Ben”, who was recently profiled by the Reason blog. The article included a picture of his colorful bong, and suggested that building your own bong at home is a great way to bypass drug paraphernalia laws.

Ben, a tinkerer who works with 3D printers, said it started as a joke, when his friends challenged him to make his own bong. He thought that was a great idea. Ben lives in Israel, where according to him, it’s not easy to find bongs.

"Perhaps smoking marijuana, one of America’s most popular pastimes among the youth, will show the way and make 3D printers the standard equipment among high school and university students everywhere."

The first 3D printed bong took Ben three hours to make, but Reason reports Ben is hard at work improving the process.
