Jessica Rosado, nine months pregnant, and Ronnie Morales cooked a Walmart bottom round steak for dinner and began to “feel ill” shortly after, according to the Tampa Bay Times. Rosado drove to the hospital with her boyfriend and two young daughters, where the girls began to hallucinate.
When questioned by the reporter, Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor said the symptoms exhibited by the family were consistent with those that result from LSD use. Police tested for LSD. The meat showed no external evidence of tampering but test results on Friday revealed traces of LSD within the packaging.
Diana Gee, a Walmart spokesperson, told the Tampa Bay Times that Walmart’s supplier has no reports of contamination. The issue, so far an isolated incident, remains a mystery until results return from medical examination and surveillance analysis.
