NBC news reported that off-duty fire captain Craig Moreau, of a Houston Fire Department, came upon a semi on the side of the road with what looked like a brake fire. The driver was out of the vehicle, but not able to put out the fire.
With no fire fighting equipment handy, Captain Moreau did what he does best – innovated under pressure. After finding nothing useful nearby, he asked about the contents of the semi trailer. Beer! Perfect.
Working as a team, with one opening the tall boys while the other used them to douse the truck brakes and extinguish the fire, the two men saved the truck and it’s cargo. The beer? Why Coors Banquet, of course!
