Sage Stallone Dead of Drug Overdose – Not A Suicide

Sage Moonblood Stallone, the 36 year old son of Sylvester Stallone, is dead. The New York Post is reporting the death as likely to have been caused by an overdose of prescription pills.


Sage Moonblood Stallone, 36, was found dead this afternoon at an apartment, his attorney confirmed to The New York Post. And sources tell Page Six Sage Stallone is believed to have died following an overdose of pills.

Early Internet blog coverage reports Sage Stallone found dead at homeĀ  by an acquaintance, a variety of pill bottles present, but no suicide note.

If this is another high profile accidental death of a drug mis-user, we can expect a new round of calls for better access to recreational drugs, or less restriction of non-medically-authorized therapeutic use of prescription drugs. Many in Hollywood believe people should have a right to off label use of controlled substances like high purity prescription pharmaceuticals, and drug use would be safer if there were better support for non-medical, individual use.
